The team at MacRumors has apparently grown tired of seeing all of these leaked iPhone 6 mockups without being able to try them out. That’s why they’ve now 3D printed their own mockup of the device based on leaked schematics to get a feel for just how different the larger device will be when it releases later this year.

What they’ve found is that navigating on the larger iPhone isn’t as easy to do with one hand as it has been to do on traditional iPhones, although they also say that this shouldn’t matter too much since many people are already using both hands to navigate their smartphones in the first place. MacRumors also says that the larger frame explains why Apple has moved the power button from the top of the device over to the side — it’s just ergonomically much more natural to access it from the side on the larger device.

MacRumors has also printed out a simulation of what the iOS home screen will look like on a 4.7-inch display and with a resolution of 1334 x 750 pixels, which makes it the first iPhone 6 mockup we’ve seen that has also tried to give us an idea of what the device will look like when it’s switched on.

We’ve posted one of MacRumors’ pictures below but you should really go to MacRumors to take a look at their entire gallery of pics, which show the iPhone 6 mockup alongside other big-name iOS devices such as the iPhone 5s and the iPad Air.
