Even hardcore Android fans are giving Apple its dues for the iPhone 6’s camera, which has been widely acclaimed for making it easy to take gorgeous pictures and videos despite the fact that it’s “only” an 8-megapixel camera. Now a new video review of the camera posted by Ken Dai gives us a great look at all of the iPhone 6 camera’s best features and acts as a terrific primer for anyone who wants to get the most out of their new smartphone camera.

Among other things, the video takes you through the advantages of enabling HDR on your iPhone 6 camera to balance the exposure; how to use iOS 8’s photo editing features to adjust light, colors, contrast and so forth; how to use the panoramic mode on the iPhone 6; how to take quality videos even in low-light settings; and how to record in slow motion at 240 frames per second and how to record time-lapse videos.

The full video is worth watching and can be found below. As you’ll see, the iPhone 6’s camera definitely punches above its 8-megapixel weight and can go toe-to-toe with any other smartphone camera on the market.
