Apple’s iPhone 5S isn’t much of a mystery at this point if the various leaks over the past few months are to be believed, but new details continue to trickle out as the handset’s fall debut approaches. According to a new report from The Korea Times, Apple’s next-generation flagship iPhone may include support for LTE-Advanced networks, which offer peak speeds that are more than twice as fast as current 4G LTE networks. The report cites an unnamed insider at South Korean carrier SK Telecom, which is said to be holding negotiations with Apple concerning the launch of an LTE-A compatible iPhone 5S on its network later this year. The Korea Times notes that if Apple does launch an iPhone 5S with LTE-Advanced support, it may use a Qualcomm modem in the device. Apple’s iPhone 5S will reportedly launch this fall with an updated processor, a better camera and possibly even a fingerprint scanner.
