Apple has improved shipping estimates in its online store for its iPhone 5s flagship smartphone to 3 to 5 days in various countries including the United States, Canada, Mexico and the Asia-Pacific, MacRumors reports. Only a few days ago, shipping times were improved to 1-2 weeks from the previous 2-3 weeks estimate, a sign that Apple is slowly catching up with demand for its top handset. In Europe, shipping estimates for the device are still at 1-2 weeks.
Since launching the iPhone 5s a couple of months ago, Apple has faced many shipping delays for the iPhone 5s. However, recent reports claim the company has ramped up iPhone 5s production while downgrading iPhone 5c orders. The company sold more than nine million combined iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c units in its launch weekend, although it hasn’t yet revealed the numbers for each product.
The new shipping estimate covers all iPhone 5s models, no matter how much storage they have or what carrier they’re on. iPhone 5s pricing starts at $199 for on-contract devices, and at $649 for unlocked versions.
