For a few months now, we’ve seen a myriad of reports pointing to Apple releasing a 12.2-inch iPad Pro. As for a potential launch window, one of the more recent rumblings from the rumor mill suggests that production on the rumored iPad Pro won’t begin until sometime during the second quarter of 2015.

With mass production purportedly slated to get underway soon, it’s not all that surprising that we’re starting to see a steady uptick in the number of iPad Pro related leaks.

Most recently, AppleInsider shed some new light on what we might expect to see once the iPad Pro becomes a reality. Citing a source familiar with Apple’s plans, AI writes that the rumored tablet will feature NFC functionality along with the same Force Touch technology Apple recently introduced on the Apple Watch and the company’s new MacBook. Incidentally, there are also rumors that the iPhone 6s will be graced with Force Touch functionality as well.

But the most intriguing aspect of the iPad Pro is that it will reportedly come equipped with a stylus, a rumor which first emerged earlier this January.

Shedding some more light on the matter, AI writes:

Offering more details on the anticipated accessory, an AppleInsider source said that Apple’s stylus will connect via Bluetooth, and that it will feature pressure-sensitive input.

With iPad sales on the decline, it stands to reason that Apple is hoping to position the iPad Pro as the tablet of choice for creatives and enterprise users who are more likely to want a bigger screen and use apps that might benefit from a stylus input.

AppleInsider further adds that the rumored iPad Pro may come with a USB-C port, a plausible tidbit given Apple’s penchant for slowly but surely standardizing product features across the entirety of its product line.

As for some other iPad Pro features, previous reports have suggested that the device will ship with 2GB of RAM
