Although new iPhones are arriving during the back-to-school season it looks like we’ll have to wait a little longer to get our hands on new iPads. KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who has an above-average track record with Apple rumors, has written a new research note claiming that both the fifth-generation iPad and the second-generation iPad mini are still on track for release in the fourth quarter of 2013. The biggest news from Kuo’s note is about the new iPad mini, which he still expects will support a Retina display and will run on Apple’s next-generation A7X processor. Kuo says that Apple may release a budget version of the iPad mini in 2014 that will have a lower display resolution than the Retina-equipped iPad mini and will use the older A6 chipset.
