Apple released updates for iOS and OS X on Tuesday that enabled its Apple Music streaming service and Beats 1 radio station. However, the new music features are only available on the newly released iOS 8.4 and iTunes. iOS developers and early testers who already have iOS 9 beta 2 installed on their devices can’t access them yet, but that will change soon.

Asked on Twitter when iOS 9 is getting Apple Music support, Apple’s senior vice president Eddy Cue tweeted that a new iOS 9 beta is “coming early next week.” The exec did not reveal any additional details about the upcoming software release.
So far, Apple has seeded two iOS 9 betas to developers, with iOS 9 beta 2 being made available only days before the official Apple Music roll out. Anyone with access to a developer account can already run iOS 9 beta 2 on supported iOS devices, though you can try it out immediately even without a developer account, if you’re so inclined (here’s how to do it).
Meanwhile, Apple Music and Beats 1 work on iOS 8.4 or later, iTunes 12.2 on OS X and Windows, and they should be available in some 100 markets.
More details about Apple Music are available on Apple.com.
