There are plenty of great announced iOS 8 features that Apple didn’t actually release with the first iteration of the platform, but we’re pretty sure that you’re going to be getting a lot more of them with the release of iOS 8.1 later this year. MacRumors points out that iOS developer Hamza Sood has found one such feature hiding in plain sight in the latest iOS 8.1 beta: The setup screen of the Apple Pay mobile payments platform.

As you can see in the screenshot posted above, the Apple Pay setup screen will ask you to enter in your name, credit card number, expiration date and security code, which is of course what we’d expect from any mobile payment setup page.

We’re still not exactly sure when iOS 8.1 will release but we expect it will not only deliver Apple Pay but will also offer the Continuity feature that will allow for more interaction between iOS and OS X and Touch ID support for Apple’s newest iPads, alongside the usual bug fixes. Apple has already released two betas of iOS 8.1 and the company reportedly plans to release two more major versions of the software — iOS 8.2 and iOS 8.3 — in the months ahead as well.
