Apple’s online developer portal was taken offline for about a week following a major security breach last month, but the company still managed to get its last iOS 7 beta out in late July to address a huge number of bugs. This is developer software though, so of course plenty of issues remained — and now Apple has released iOS 7 beta 5 for the iPhone, iPad, iPad mini and iPod touch. The new software was just released a moment ago so details are still trickling in, but Apple still has a lot of work left to do before the iOS 7 Gold Master build is released to developers in early September, so we’re looking for plenty of improvements in iOS 7 beta 5. Apple’s latest iOS 7 beta is available for download immediately as on over the air (OTA) update and the new download files should be made available on Apple’s developer site shortly.

UPDATE: The full iOS 7 beta 5 change log is now available and can be found here.
