In one month, I Am Chris Farley will open in select theaters around the country. I Am Chris Farley is a documentary celebrating the life of one of SNL’s brightest stars, a comedian who was tragically taken from us far too soon.
According to BuzzFeed, the documentary will include home videos from Farley’s childhood and early performances as well as clips from SNL and interviews with celebrities and family members that knew and loved him.

In the first trailer for the documentary, we get to see snippets of those interviews with Adam Sandler, Bob Odenkirk, Christina Applegate, Bob Saget, David Spade, Lorne Michaels — the list goes on. Here’s what SNL creator Lorne Michaels had to say:
“There’s a category of people that I work with that are infuriatingly talented. As long as they’re in this world, I think you always recognize whatever it is when you see it. You’re always drawn to that.”
The documentary will land in theaters on July 31st and then be available to rent or purchase on DVD, digital download and VOD services on August 11th. Watch the first trailer below:
