A new report from China reinforces an older series of rumors that said a Chinese Android smartphone maker would make one of the upcoming Nexus 6 successors. In fact, the report claims that the device will be manufactured by Huawei with some key help from Korean consumer electronics titan Samsung.

Online publication GizmoChina, citing Chinese analysts who revealed supposed next-gen Nexus specs on Weibo, says the Huawei-made smartphone will have an amazing display made by Samsung. The next Nexus handset will reportedly have a 5.7-inch OLED display with 2K resolution (2560 x 1440) and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor.
Huawei has said in the past that 2K displays might be too much for smartphones, but such screen quality might be a requirement from Google, the publication notes. As for processor choice, previous rumors said that Huawei will make the chip that’ll power the next Nexus, but it looks like Qualcomm’s top processor could be the final choice.
In spite of what analysts have to say about the next-gen Nexus, Google has yet to confirm any of these rumors. In addition to Huawei, LG is also rumored to be working on a new Nexus device for this year.
