Déjà vu: OnePlus Two will be the cheap flagship Android phone you’ve been waiting for

OnePlus Two Price and Specs

In spite of launch and availability issues, the OnePlus One still was one of the biggest surprises of 2014. Coming from China, the OnePlus One gave buyers access to a high-end Android device for an incredibly affordable price, a feat reminiscent of some Nexus smartphones.

This year, the company will launch a sequel to the One that will have the same key characteristics: high-end specs that are on par with phones from well-established Android handset makers, but at a fraction of the price.

As GizChina noted, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau told fans via Weibo that the OnePlus Two will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, and the device should sell for 2499.99 Yuan, or around $400.

Other details about the handset aren’t known at this time, but the device is rumored to have a 5.5-inch or 6-inch display with 2K resolution (2560 x 1440), 3GB of RAM, 2.5D curved glass and an embedded fingerprint reader that is “better than Touch ID.”

The OnePlus Two smartphone should launch at some point in the third quarter, although there’s no concrete release date for it at this time.
