In less than a month MWC 2015 will kick off in Barcelona, Spain, with a couple of special pre-show media events from HTC and Samsung. Both companies are expected to unveil top Android devices at the congress, including the HTC One M9 and Galaxy S6, respectively, with HTC apparently ready to win a first round against the Korean Android smartphone maker, Phone Arena reports.

According to a tweet posted by HTC’s senior global online communications manager Jeff Gordon a few days ago in response to Re/code’s Walt Mossberg — who said that “Samsung’s Galaxy S6 likely to be the first in a flurry of smartphone debuts at Mobile World Congress” — the Taiwanese company might be the first to unveil a flagship device on March 1.
“To be precise, HTC has a press conference 2.5 hours before Samsung,” Gordon said, though he did not confirm whether the HTC One M9, also known as HTC Hima in rumors and leaks, will actually be unveiled at the show.
HTC’s event starts at 16:00 CET and Samsung’s show begins at 18:30 CET on March 1st.
