Looking for a one-stop shop for all your Nexus needs? According to Crain’s New York Business, retail experts believe that Google is close to signing a lease at 131 Greene St. in New York City, half a block from the Apple Store that has become a staple of the high-end SoHo district.

“This could do for cobblestone Greene Street what the Apple store did for Prince,” said CBRE retail leasing broker Richard Hodos. “This is going to be an attraction that will generate excitement for Greene Street, that people will want to come and see.”

Unfortunately there don’t appear to be any details regarding what Google might carry in a brick-and-mortar location, but the abundance of smartphones, tablets and the upcoming line of wearables wouldn’t be a bad start. The area is already packed with upscale retailers so Google would fit right in. We’ll keep an eye on the location to see whether or not anything suspiciously Google-related pops up.
