Android fans have been patiently waiting for Google to release a followup to 2013’s Nexus 5, which has become one of the most beloved Android phones ever made. A new report claims that Google is finally going to fulfill their wishes by launching a proper Nexus 5 successor just over a month from now, presumably to coincide with the official launch of Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

G for Games directs our attention to a new report from Korean website MKPost that claims the new Nexus 5 will officially launch on September 29th, or roughly 11 days after Apple is reportedly releasing the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. The new Nexus phone would also release at a time when plenty of new premium Android handsets have just hit the market, including the Galaxy Note 5 and the Moto X Pure Edition. That said, Google hasn’t typically cared about selling a lot of handsets and typically uses its Nexus devices to set the bar for what Android hardware should be.

The latest rumors claim the new Nexus 5 will have a 5.2-inch display with 2K resolution, a Snapdragon 808 processor, 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM, and a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with optical image stabilization.
