Sales of Samsung’s (005930) Galaxy Tab 7.7 tablet have been banned in Europe following a ruling handed down by the Dusseldorf Higher Regional Court on Tuesday as part of yet another patent spat with Apple (AAPL). Less than one week after a ban on sales of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 was upheld in the United States, a court in Germany has extended a German injunction against Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 7.7 tablet across all of Europe, FOSS Patents reports. “Samsung is disappointed with the court’s ruling,” a Samsung spokesperson said in response to the ruling. “We will continue to take all available measures, including legal action, to protect our intellectual property rights and defend against Apple’s claims to ensure our products remain available to consumers throughout the European Union.” On the bright side, the court once again cleared Samsung’s revised Galaxy Tab 10.1N tablet for sale in Europe.
