Android users who like their mobile OS plain are in for a treat. AndroidCentral reports that Google has started shipping the “Google Editions” of the Galaxy S4 and the HTC One that bring the stock Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean experience to the latest flagship phones from both Samsung and HTC. The Google Edition of the HTC One is selling for $599.99 while the pure Google Galaxy S4 costs $649.99, and neither phone requires a service contract. Google has started releasing versions of popular smartphones with stock Android as a way to give users more options to buy smartphones off-contract and without all the added features that manufacturers normally load onto their devices.
