After a recent rumor said that the Galaxy Note 5 phablet might be released much earlier than expected, Samsung has set the record straight by denying the claims.

The report said Samsung might be interested in beating Apple’s iPhone 6s Plus to market, which will likely be the main Galaxy Note 5 competitor this year.

According to Who Wired, Samsung’s JK Shin told reporters on Thursday during a meeting that the claims are false, without sharing any more detail about the Galaxy Note 5 or its projected launch date. It’s likely Samsung will unveil the Galaxy Note 5 at IFA 2015 in Germany this September, which is the same venue where all other Galaxy Note versions were announced.

In addition to denying this particular Galaxy Note 5 rumor, Shin also said that reports suggesting that Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge sales are weaker than expected are also false. Samsung has shipped more than 10 million Galaxy S6 units so far, a recent report said, suggesting previous Galaxy S generations hit the same milestone faster than this year’s flagship phones.
