Even more so than other brands, Motorola smartphones have a tendency to leak ahead of their official announcements. It’s a tradition that dates back many years and it was carried forward yet again over the weekend as images of two more unannounced Motorola smartphones were published on the Web. The first comes from the xda-developers forum and it shows the upcoming “Droid Ultra” in the flesh. The specs are still something of a mystery, though a recent FCC filing reveals a few obvious notes: 4G LTE support, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11ac. Next up is the “Droid Maxx,” which has been pictured courtesy of @evleaks. As has been the case in the past, the Maxx is expected to be a carbon copy of the Ultra with the addition of a larger battery. Verizon is expected to unveil both phones in the coming weeks and the leaked images follow below.
