In the latest depressing round of BlackBerry news, AllThingsD reports that longtime BlackBerry manufacturing partner Jabil Circuit is looking to end its relationship with the one-time Canadian dynamo. Apparently BlackBerry’s dismal sales of the past few quarters have been hurting Jabil’s balance sheet and the company is looking to move on. Jabil CEO Mark Mondello said during a call with analysts this week that his company is “faced with a strong possibility of disengaging with BlackBerry” and that it is “in discussions right now on how we’re going to wind down the relationship.” BlackBerry is Jabil’s second largest customer after Apple so the manufacturer’s decision to disengage from the company couldn’t have been an easy one.
