If you’re a hefty reader who isn’t overly attached to physical books then you may want to check out a new app that promises to for books what Spotify has done for music and what Netflix has done for movies. Per Android Police, a new app called Oyster has just launched on Android that offers an all-you-can-read book subscription service that will cost you just $10 per month.
Oyster has more than 500,000 titles to choose from so far and it’s got a book discovery feature that’s similar to how Amazon and Netflix recommend new products that you might be interested in based on your past reading, listening or viewing habits. Oyster says that new books will be added every week as well, including New York Times bestsellers and picks from Oprah Winfrey.
Android Police notes that the app is only available in the United States right now, so Android fans who live outside the U.S. are sadly out of luck for the time being.
