Apple Watch reviewers’ biggest problem may be fixed before launch

April 9th, 2015 at 11:34 AM
Apple Watch Software Issues Update

The Apple Watch is probably the most hotly anticipated wearable device to date, as no other company managed to do for a smartwatch what Apple did in terms of buzz. The massive media coverage the gadget received starting with its September 2014 announcement culminated with reviews this week coming from various sites that got early access to the devices. However, some of these reviews revealed certain performance problems that could seriously hamper your entire experience.

Luckily it appears the company is on top of them, and wants to fix them before you even get to experience them.

DON’T MISS: The worst things reviewers are saying about the Apple Watch

After The Verge highlighted certain issues with the Apple Watch’s software, third-party app issues, delayed notifications and even freezing issues, Apple told the blog that updates will be released to fix all the highlighted problems, as Apple Insider noted.

The software update might be applied to all Apple Watch units even before the device is shipped to customers on April 24th. It will supposedly specifically address performance issues with third-party apps, among other things. Otherwise pulling the iPhone of the pocket to get the job done might be the easier route to go, and that would defeat the whole purpose of having a smartwatch.

The Apple Watch will be available for preorder beginning on April 10th, and it will ship to consumers on April 24th.
