Following Apple’s (AAPL) recent change of heart regarding its “thermonuclear war” with Android vendor HTC (2498), the company may be taking a softer stance on Android in general. However many patent deals we see struck with Android device vendors, however, Apple will never warm up to Android to this extent. Garage Band, iPhoto, iMovie, Numbers, Pages and Keynote are among the “Apple Inc” apps that recently popped up in Google’s (GOOG) Google Play app store for Android devices, Android Central reports. The problem, of course, is that Apple didn’t build them. The counterfeit apps were removed from the Google Play store at the time of this writing, but Android users should obviously exercise caution if they see additional “Apple Inc” apps appear in the Android app store as they may be carrying malicious code.
