Marques Brownlee (a.k.a., MKBHD), whose terrific work we’ve highlighted multiple times in the past, has just put up another great video that shows us all of the tips and tricks we’ll need to get the most out of Android Wear.

Brownlee starts off the video by noting that the main feature of Android Wear is that it acts as an extension of Google Now for your wrist — basically, it gives you the ability to swipe through all of your Google Now cards on your smartwatch instead of having to look at them on your phone. This is one way that smartwatches could be more useful than phones since Google Now cards are really meant to be glanced at quickly and then dismissed and thus shouldn’t require a large display to be useful.

Other key tips highlighted by Brownlee include:

  • How to quickly swipe down on your smartwatch to get it to mute all your notifications so that you don’t get distracted while at a meeting or while driving
  • How to find third-party apps designed specifically for Android Wear
  • How you can use Android Wear to store your flight boarding pass and then scan your watch to get on a plane
  • How to set alarms and stopwatch timers on Android Wear

Be sure to check out the full video posted below.
