What you have to do is to enable a secret menu on the phone that’s reserved for developers, Business Insider reveals, regardless of you’re a developer or not. Once enabled, the feature is harmless to the device and can be reversed if you so desire.

Essentially, you have to enable the developer options menu in the Settings app. To do that, go to Settings, and then About phone, and then tap repeatedly on the Build number menu until the phone tells you that you’re a developer.

Then, go back to the Settings menu, and then tap the new Developer options menu. That’s where you need to go to to enable the hidden trick. What you’re doing is modifying three menu options, including Window animation scale, Transition animation scale and Animator duration scale from 1x to 0.5x.

You can then restart the device, at which point you’ll have a slightly faster handset in your hand.
