Brand-new Star Wars TV spot is all about the Dark Side

Star Wars Force Awakens Kylo Ren Han Solo

Disney and Lucasfilm decided to offer a surprising Thanksgiving treat to Star Wars fans by releasing a brand-new TV commercial that feels more like a trailer. Slightly longer than the previous Star Wars: The Force Awakens ads, the one-minute clip shows glimpses of what The Dark Side might be up to.

Titled “All the Way,” the clip features some of the characters we’ve seen in previous trailers and commercials, starting with Kylo Ren, the villain of the new Star Wars film. Clearly, the Dark Side is aware there’s an awakening in the Force, with Kylo Ren being told that even he has “never faced such a test.”

There’s lots of Stormtroopers standing by, light saber battles and X-Wing fighter action in the clip. Most of the good guys make their appearance in the new trailer, but there’s still no Luke Skywalker to be seen. Han Solo even opens fire on a Stormtrooper, which Star Wars fans will certainly appreciate. He might be a lot older, but he’s still up for a good old fight.

Just in case you forgot – but how can you when Disney keeps releasing new revealing ads – the Force will awaken in cinemas across the planet on December 18th.
