Google and Amazon have the two best voice-enabled virtual home assistants in Google Home and Amazon Echo. Both devices were on sale through Black Friday and Cyber Monday, and each of them should be a great addition to your smart home project. You don’t need to buy both gadgets because they’re both able to pull off basically the same stunts. But if you do get both of them, you can make them talk to each other. That’s what one user did, and of course, there was a camera present.

Google Home is the newest of the two, as Amazon has a surprising lead in this particular type of business. That doesn’t make Home any less interesting. And it turns out it can correctly understand what Echo says.
YouTube user Adam Jakowenko posted a short video that shows the two assistants talking to each other. The video is less than a minute long, but it could go on for days.
What Jakowenko did was to set up separate calendar events with each Home and Echo. Each entry contained the hot word that activates the other assistant. So when you ask Echo about the event, the response will wake up Home. Home will then deliver its reply, which in turn wakes up Echo. This can go on for hours, at least that calendar event expires. You’ll have to set up a recurring event to make Google Home talk to Alexa for ever. Hilarious:
Oh, and if you know anyone who owns both assistants, this will make a great prank.
