Even though we have almost a year to go until we see the iPhone 7, concepts for the device have been popping up all over the web. One such video concept that imagines the next big thing for Apple when it comes to iPhone design, although we have our doubts about whether Apple would be able to pull off such an ambitious design.

Designer Marek Weidlich created an iPhone 7 model that’s interesting, proposing a radical change that’s already rumored for future iPhone generations. But the device features certain design concepts I hope Apple never actually considers. Weidlich’s iPhone is largely inspired by the iPhone 6, but there are some definite differences.
The most obvious one is the edge-to-edge curved display that does away with the Home button, which is replaced by a virtual one. Apple is already said to be considering such a design approach for future iPhones. However, the front-facing camera and speaker sticking out from the screen is something that Apple would definitely not make, as these elements would significantly disrupt in-app UI and overall experience when it comes to gaming and video playback.
The back of the handset also has a strange design, with metal being placed inside a plastic frame. The metal back would be user-customizable, as seen in the following video. These are design choices that Apple would probably not make.
The designer also imagined what iOS 10 would have to offer, proposing an Apple Watch-inspired UI and advanced gaming integration for the iPhone.
The video showing this wild iPhone 7 concept follows below.
