Windows 10 “GodMode” is the feature in question, and it’s something that not many Windows users will be aware of. However, GodMode is built into Windows 10, just as it was in previous Windows versions.
GodMode opens doors to a plethora of settings that would otherwise be unavailable to regular Windows users, letting hardcore fans further customize their user experience.
Tech blog Redmond Pie put together a quick guide that shows how to activate GodMode – it’s actually really simple to try on a computer where you have full administrator privileges.
All you need to do is right-click on the Windows 10 desktop and select New, then Folder, to make a new folder on the desktop. Once that’s done, make sure you copy this particular folder name – GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C} and use it for the newly created folder.
Now, the folder will be replaced by a new icon that reads GodMode (image above). Click that, and you’ll be able to customize Windows 10 to your heart’s desire.
GodMode enables management of advanced Windows options, including User Accounts, Windows Defender, Windows Mobility Center, and many others. In total, you can expect more than 40 categories that will now be accessible.
