Even if you’ve used an iPhone and a Mac for years, there’s a good chance you’ll experience a significant learning curve with the Apple Watch. To help out with this, The Wall Street Journal has put together a very handy guide of eight essential gestures you’ll need to know to use the Apple Watch has posted GIFs for each one to give you a good idea of how they work.

DON’T MISS: The worst things reviewers are saying about the Apple Watch

The most prominent gesture involves using Apple’s new Force Touch technology to essentially serve as the equivalent of a right click on a mouse. When you use Force Touch in an app, it opens up new menus and options for you, just as right-clicking on a mouse does on your PC. This technology will be coming to new iPhones and iPads as well so it’s definitely something Apple fans will want to pay attention to.

The other gestures involve swiping through Glances that give you quick information about information you want to know, swiping from the top down to see notifications, using the digital crown to find your friends, using the crown to zoom in and out, covering your watch to quickly silence it and turn off its screen, activating Siri through voice commands, and bringing up the Apple Pay menu by double-tapping the side button.
