Apple demoed a bunch of great functionality on stage at the event, and Apple Pay was clearly one of the coolest things we saw.
When you’re in a store and getting ready to pay at a location that accepts Apple Pay, you can simply move your watch toward the payment terminal. Apple Pay will automatically open on your watch’s display, and you’ll be able to complete the transaction as you would on an iPhone 6.
One of the coolest things about Apple Pay on the Apple Watch is the fact that you no longer need an iPhone 6 or an iPhone 6 Plus to use Apple Pay in stores. Now, a user with any older iPhone that’s compatible with the Apple Watch will be able to use Apple Pay.
