The comparisons between the Galaxy Note 4 and the iPhone 6 Plus were inevitable. Apple’s first flagship phablet facing off against the most prolific phablet maker in the world — it was a story that captivated the mobile industry, but even after all these months, we’re still discovering new things about both devices.

In a recent blind camera comparison conducted by PhoneArena, the Galaxy Note 4 faced off against the iPhone 6 Plus and a Canon EOS 650D DSLR camera… and came out on top. In five of the six scenes that PhoneArena photographed, users chose the photo from the Note 4 over the photos from the other two devices.

So does this mean that you should sign up for a two-year contract for a Galaxy Note 4 instead of purchasing a DSLR camera before your next vacation?

“Well, that depends on your priorities and on how you look at these two devices,” PhoneArena explains. “The [DSLR’s] RAW images look soft and uninspiring as they are, but can be made to look as good, if not better than the Note’s – all it takes is a few minutes of simple editing.”

On the other hand, both Apple and Samsung’s devices process the images immediately, means less work for the photographer.

You can check out a few samples from the article below, but be sure to head to PhoneArena for the full comparison.
