IOS 8 has been out for more than a month now. In fact, we already saw Apple release its first major update to the platform last month when iOS 8.1 brought bug fixes and a few new features such as Apple Pay. But as long as some of us have been using iOS 8 — and we say “some” of us because there are still millions of people who can’t update their devices — there are still plenty of new features we don’t know about. Apple packed in so much new functionality that it’s impossible to find and remember it all.

The Guardian on Friday put together a list of 25 hidden iOS 8 features that are definitely worth sharing. Not all of them are exactly “hidden,” and we have covered many of them on BGR in the past, but each and every function listed is useful and it’s nice to have them all in one list.
For starters, did you know that you can create an emergency health ID card in Apple’s new Health app? It’s as easy as tapping over to the Medical ID tab in the app and filling out your critical data.
There are also several great tricks for iOS’s new camera app. For example, tapping on the display and dragging up or down will manually adjust the exposure. You can also easily recover photos you accidentally delete and hide risqué images from your photo stream.
iOS 8 and iOS 8.1 let users send self-destructing messages as well, and shortcuts make it easy to send a selfie in just one second.
