Have you ever accidentally bought a Windows Phone and wished it were an iPhone or an Android phone instead? Chances are you probably haven’t, but that’s the only possible target market we can see for some new Windows Phone launchers that were designed solely to make your device’s home screen look like either iOS or Android.
RELATED: Windows Phone is still going nowhere fast
As WMPowerUser documents, developer Nipun Birla has just released an iOS 7 Launcher for Windows Phone that will let you make your device look like it’s running on iOS 7 instead of Microsoft’s mobile platform. This new launcher is similar to the Android 4.4 KitKat launcher for Windows Phone created by developer Rishabh Harit that lets you pretend your device is running on Google’s mobile platform instead.
Of course, if you’re really pining for iOS 7 or KitKat, your best course of action would be to actually buy an iPhone or an Android phone instead of launching fake versions of the platform onto your Windows Phone. We’re going to give Windows Phone users the benefit of the doubt and say that they bought their devices because they actually want to use Windows Phone and aren’t secretly pining for a rival OS.
