iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus: Pricing, release dates and everything else you need to know

Apple’s huge press conference has finally wrapped up, and Apple fans have a lot to be excited about this fall. The most exciting new product shown off on stage on Tuesday was certainly the all new Apple Watch, which marks Apple’s first venture into wearable computing. Of course, the iPhone is still Apple’s big money-maker, and the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are almost certainly on their way to becoming Apple’s best-selling smartphones ever.

How much will they cost? When can you buy them? Everything you need to know follows below.

First and foremost, Apple’s new iPhones are huge upgrades from the current iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c. They feature larger displays, new designs, a faster A8 processor, a more precise M8 motion co-processor, NFC for Apple Pay and plenty more. The iPhone 6’s display measures 4.7 inches diagonally while the iPhone 6 Plus phablet has a 5.5-inch screen.

As for release details, both new iPhone models will launch on Friday, September 19th, and preorder availability will begin this Friday, September 12th.

In terms of pricing, the new 4.7-inch iPhone 6 will start at $199 on contract and the iPhone 6 Plus starts at $299. Here’s the full breakdown:

iPhone 6 16GB: $199

iPhone 6 64GB: $299

iPhone 6 128GB: $399

iPhone 6 Plus 16GB: $299

iPhone 6 Plus 64GB: $399

iPhone 6 Plus 128GB: $499

In addition, the iPhone 5s will remain available at the $99 on-contract price point and the iPhone 5c will be free on contract.
