The OnePlus One may be a tough find for smartphone buyers, but the phone apparently performs great in the wild, with Phone Arena revealing the flagship #NeverSettle phone is capable of offering impressive battery life. In its battery tests, the OnePlus One came in second, lasting only five minutes less than Sony’s Xperia Z2, and significantly longer than other flagship devices from the competition, including the Galaxy S5, the G3 or the HTC One (M8).
With a Full HD 5.5-inch screen and a 3,100 mAh battery, the OnePlus One lasted for 8 hours and 5 minutes in the blog’s standard battery test – the site “measures battery life by running a custom web-script, designed to replicate the power consumption of typical real-life usage.”
The Xperia Z2 scored 8 hours and 10 minutes of battery life, while the Galaxy S5, HTC One (M8) and LG G3 scored 7 hours and 38 minutes, 7 hours and 12 minutes and 6 hours and 14 minutes, respectively.
It’s worth pointing out that all these five devices have screen sizes of at least 5 inches, and at least Full HD resolution, with the G3 being the only handset with a 2K display.
When it comes to battery size, the OnePlus One has the second largest battery following the Xperia Z2 (3,200 mAh), and is followed by the G3 (3,000 mAh), Galaxy S5 (2,800 mAh) and this year’s HTC One model (2,600 mAh).
