Google

seems ready to start its international Chromecast launch, according to Gigaom, with the U.K., France and Germany apparently being the first markets to get the popular dongle. A Currys employee tweeted a picture of a stack of Chromecast boxes last week, and a leaked screenshot from Dixons revealed the device should be launched on March 19 in the U.K.

Meanwhile, French buyers interested in getting the Chromecast will be able to do so in the following days, according to marketing materials from local carrier SFR. The mobile operator will sell the dongle for €34.99, with existing subscribers to certain plains able to get it for just €4.99. While Journal du Geek mentions a March 25 launch day for the dongle, one Google+ user says the dongle will be available from SFR starting with March 19.

Finally, Amazon Germany has already listed the dongle, and removed the page since mistakenly publishing it. According to it, the Chromecast will cost $35 in Germany as well. Stadt-Bremerhaven reports that local electronics retailers Media Markt and Saturn will also sell the device, with customers already getting a March 17 shipping date.

Google will likely expand Chromecast availability to other markets soon, and the Search giant has already updated its Chromecast app for Android with support for over 50 languages.
