Renting an apartment with one of those “you have to have this kind of cable or else” policies? Good news! The FCC thinks that’s as stupid as you do. Expected to happen Wednesday, look for a vote that offers fair competition, including that of telecom providers AT&T and Verizon, for your hard-earned TV dollars. This is obviously a pretty significant coup, as it should drive options up, and costs to the consumer down. Of course, cable companies will probably appeal any ruling that comes down, but it still looks like, in the end, that this will be nothing but a benefit to the consumer.
