Young software engineers looking for a dream job could do a lot worse than Google (GOOG) and Microsoft (MSFT). Per Business Insider, research firm Great Place to Work has released its annual list of the best large companies to work for and both Google and Microsoft rank high on the list. Google, which ranked second on the list, was singled out by one employee for feeling more like a “home” than most businesses, while fifth-ranked Microsoft was praised by an employee for being a place that “truly cares about their employees.” Other big-name tech companies on the list were fifteenth-ranked Intel (INTC) and twenty first-ranked Cisco (CSCO).
