Apple (AAPL) has gone on quite a ride since being founded in the mid-1970s. From early success to the brink of bankruptcy and on to becoming the most valuable company in U.S. history, no company has ever hit both extremes as hard as Apple. There are countless ways to review the history of the Cupertino, California-based firm, but a new one arose recently courtesy of Retronaut. The site recently assembled a collection of 75 print advertisements created by Apple and its partner agencies between 1975 and 2002. The result is a fascinating timeline that illustrates the shift in Apple’s design aesthetic and strategy quite well. A few old ads follow below, and the full collection can be viewed on Retronaut’s website.
