Online retailer “Kogan” hates Microsoft’s Internet Explorer 7 Web browser. The Australia-based company is so tired of people using the browser to visit its website, in fact, that it has decided to levy a tax on customers who visit the site using Microsoft’s old browser. The “Internet Explorer 7 Tax” amounts to 6.8% of customers’ purchases from the retailer, and the site suggests that anyone using IE7 has likely “been in a coma for over 5 years.” To avoid the tax, Kogan recommends that its customers opt to “use a better browser,” and it recommends Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Opera.
