As if the announcement of JiveTalk for the iPhone wasn’t enough for all you IM junkies, it looks like Apple may be coming through with some iChat goodness of their own. We knew that it was only a matter of time, but it looks like iChat for the iPhone may be on its way sooner than later. iPhone users have been asked to complete a survey inquiring about their EDGE experiences. The survey asks questions about users’ experiences with email, weather, YouTube and iChat? Yes, iChat is on the chart for all to see. Whether or not this is simply another AT&T flub and they mean “SMS” is anyone’s guess, but I know more than a few iPhone owners who would be overjoyed by a supported, non-browser dependent, iChat client. Come on, Apple!
