Samsung’s Galaxy S II is still rolling out here in the U.S. but we’re already seeing possible details on the device’s successor. Phandroid obtained a purported slide from an internal Samsung Mobile deck that lists a Samsung Galaxy III due to be released in 2012. According to this slide, Samsung’s third-generation Galaxy phones will feature a 1.8GHz dual-core Exynos 4212 processor, 2GB of RAM, a 4.6-inch Super AMOLED Plus HD display and a 12-megapixel camera. The anonymous source of the slide also claims the device will be thinner than Samsung’s current Galaxy S II models and will include 4G LTE support and an NFC chip. Of note, Phandroid questions the authenticity of the slide it published in its report, noting that the Galaxy S is listed as having shipped with an Exynos processor though it actually included a 1GHz Hummingbird CPU. Such errors are not uncommon on internal documents that have surfaced in the past, however.
