It’s always great to see a president getting his or her priorities straight. In the case of Donald Trump, making sure you look good to the public appears to be the number one priority. Forget Russia, forget the travel ban, forget health care reform, or the federal budget. There’s a 17-year-old girl that can code a website where you can use kittens to scratch Trump’s face, and that must be stopped immediately.
This really is a true story, as reported by The Observer. Lucy is the San Francisco teenager who’s looking to work at a disruptive tech company in the future. In the meantime, she’s practicing her coding skills on projects like TrumpScratch.com, where users can click on Trump’s face to punch him with kitten paws.
That is, until Trump’s lawyers get involved. And they sent Lucy a cease and desist letter.
“I was going to just let this go, but I think it’s, pardon my French, fucking outrageous that the president of the United States has his team scouring the internet for sites like mine to send out cease and desists and legal action claims if we don’t shut down,” she wrote in an email to The Observer. “Meanwhile, he tweets about The Apprentice ratings and sends out power-drunk tweets about phone tapping. HOW ABOUT BEING THE PRESIDENT?”
Lucy changed the name of the site to KittenFeed.com after receiving the letter from Trump’s lawyer. But that wasn’t good enough for Trump’s lawyers, who still came after her.
“It’s so sad that his administration is focused more on being liked, burying real news and taking down sites like mine as they supposedly make him look bad,” Lucy said.
Beware, Saturday Night Live and everyone else mocking the president, you might be next!
