High-end specs and a low entry price were a killer combination for one of the most talked about Android handsets of last year, and the company behind it is already teasing at CES 2015 a still-surprising sequel for this year.
“Internally, we’ve changed the release windows 4 or 5 times. But we’re planning to have it available in Q2 or Q3,” OnePlus’ Carl Pei said. “There’s a lot more expectations on us this time, a lot more pressure.”
The exec did not reveal any specifics about the handset, but did say the One Plus Two will still surprise people, at least when it comes to size.
“We’ve actually changed the display size several times as well. The final product will surprise people,” Pei said, when asked whether the phone will actually be smaller than its predecessor.
Pei also revealed the company doesn’t plan to launch any tablets in the future, and that it’ll stick to its invite system when it comes to future OnePlus Two purchases.
