Smartphone shoppers looking for affordable yet capable off-contract handsets have a surprising number of solid options these days. Beginning immediately and running through 11:59 p.m. EDT on Thursday, June 5th, shoppers can use the Moto Maker to design a custom Moto X smartphone that suits their style, and then purchase the unique phone starting at just $349, or $100 off the handset’s standard price.
The deal applies to carrier versions and developer versions of the phone, and it could be one of the last such deals we see; Motorola announced last week that it will soon shutter its Texas factory, putting an end to its U.S.-based customization and assembly efforts.
