Google looks like it’s getting deeper into the world of Kinect-like gesture recognition technology. Gesture recognition software startup Flutter announced on Thursday that it has been acquired by Google for an undisclosed amount. Flutter CEO Navneet Dalal said on the company’s website that Flutter’s dream has always been to “build a ubiquitous and power-efficient gesture recognition technology” and that Google’s acquisition of the company would add “rocket fuel” to its plans for future products. Flutter has typically added gesture recognition support to other popular mobile apps such as iTunes, Chrome, Pandora and Netflix.
