LG exec joins the Sony Ericsson team

Sure, you’re thinking executives move from company to company everyday…what’s the big deal? Well, if this one pans out, it could mean big changes for the Sony Ericsson brand. The company recently acquired LG’s former head of marketing, John Bernard. Bernard, who was the man behind the British Chocolate release, will tackle a global marketing role for the company. The significant piece here is that Mr. John Bernard is coming from the fashion-phone heavy LG to SE at a time when Sony Ericsson is clearly moving towards a more high-end image. Could we be close to seeing a spate of Prada phone-esque devices coming out of the SE camp? You wouldn’t catch us complaining too much but, as always, only time will tell.
