The DROID X has been getting a lot of attention lately, which is nice, but, for those who need a physical keyboard it isn’t the most exciting news in the world. A Gizmodo reader, from NASA’s JPL, sent in some images and specifications of the new DROID 2 that he spotted at some sort of technology fair. The reader confirms, verbally and with images, that the phone was running Android 2.1 with Ninjablur, and sports: a 1 GHz processor, 8GB of internal storage, micro-SD card slot, and 5 megapixel camera. The tipster did say: “When I asked about the software, the Verizon representatives told me that it most probably wouldn’t be coming with that on it and would probably have Froyo.” There you have it Verizon, Android, keyboard-loving people. What do you think?
