Nokia’s (NOK) Lumia 822 (code-named “Atlas”) isn’t quite as beefy as AT&T’s (T) Lumia 920, but it’ll have to do for a starter Windows Phone 8 device on Verizon (VZ). Following a leak earlier this week, actual photos of the Lumia 822 have surfaced on WMPoweruser revealing the device’s matte black finish and confirming 4G LTE and the 8-megapixel rear camera. The new leak also confirms the Lumia 822’s 4.3-inch WVGA display (800 x 480) and front-facing camera. We’re still unsure if the Lumia 822 will have wireless charging, but seeing as it’s based off the Lumia 820, it’s very possible it will support the new feature. Verizon is expected to launch Nokia’s Windows Phone 8 smartphone in November, just in time to go head-to-head with HTC (2498) Windows Phone 8X.
